The Apartment complex is really starting to look pretty now with Spring coming. And some days it is even sunny and warm all day!! We don't have lids for our pans so I use foil!! It works pretty good! Elder Owens has his favorite spot in front of his computer checking email!!

Saturday, April 19, 2008 we drove out to McConnelsville to visit some friends that lived in Holbrook 30 years ago. We really surprised them!! The countryside is beautiful green rolling hills and trees that are blossoming or leafing out now. They have 17 acres with a garden spot, a place for some cows and their own pond. It's really nice. They live about a mile out of town and the town is smaller than Holbrook!! Old buildings that were built in late 1800's and early 1900's. What a lot of history back here in Ohio!!

Us with our favorite Elders. The first one is the assistants Neil and Gardner, that come into the office real often. Next-the Elders Mack and Waite that are assigned to the area the office is in and they drop in often. Last is transfer day. The Elder in the white shirt is Neil and he went home yesterday, Friday, April 18th. Great Elders!!!

Here we are with the Elders Andersen and Afatasi on Sunday after the morning session of conference. It is a beautiful sunny and warm Spring day in Ohio and the conference was just wonderful. The Spirit was so strong and the confirmation that President Monson is chosen of the Lord to be our Prophet was so strong too. We are so blessed to be here in Ohio and to be working with such great Elders. And they are a lot of fun too. Elder Anderson goes home in May and we are going to miss him. Elder Afatasi, our Samoan, has been here just a month but he is a hard worker and seems to enjoy it here. He's a great asset to the mission. We are excited about all the sunshine the last two days!! Spring is really here and we should have green leaves on the trees in another week!! Put the coats away and break out the sunglasses!!!
